D.I.Y Project: Vintage Style

Monday, July 25, 2018

Hello,

Lately I have been doing D.I.Y Projects. Anyone that knows me well, know that I love doing creative projects. This project below I did today. After I left work, I head to Michaels and Dollar Tree. Making a vintage photo was not in mind, until I enter into Michaels and start scanning the aisles (laughing). The plan was to pick up a scrapbook paper art from Michaels, and make a project (had no clue what will be the project). I did pick up the scrapbook paper; the prices ranges from $0.40 - $1.19 all depend on the sizes, and decorations. I didn't know what style of paper I wanted until I went down some more aisles and came across the paper flower embellishments!

The paper flowers embellishments cost $4.99, 65 pieces came in the pack (that is a good price for the amount of paper flowers that came). So, I went back to the aisle where their scrapbook paper was location. I wanted a style that bought out "vintage". The typewriting style I like because to me it spoke "vintage". Got my two items and went on to the next store.

Dollar Tree is the place to shop for any DIY Project. I knew they had the autocollants stickers, and the style I was looking for. I picked up three different kinds of autocollants stickers, and a photo frame. I did pick up some other items for other projects I had in mind (blog coming soon)!

I use the paper that was in the frame to trace the measurement on the scrapbook paper.

Using the scissors to cut the paper.

I start adding the stickers and glue the paper flower onto the scrapbook paper.

I use markers to draw lines that look like stems for two of the flowers.

Place the paper inside the frame and there goes the project!!!

This project is easy to do. All you have to do is; pick your background (scrapbook paper), the items you want on the paper, a photo frame, of course glue, pencil (for tracing). I use a glue stick, they are easy and less of a mess! 😲
